BIO
Jenny (Jen) Lawler lives in Marin County, California. She shares a studio at the ICB bldg in Sausalito and has a backyard studio at her home. She was born in Ridgewood, N.J., and spent her summers on Long Beach Island. The family moved to Southern California in her formative years and then she attended UH, Manoa in Honolulu. She studied health Science, Nutrition, and has a BS in Dental Hygiene. She also owned a Staging business from 2005-2025.
Jen works with acrylics, oils, and encaustics and is influenced by color, nature and the environment. She paints with intuition, and abstraction, adding layers, mark making, and found ephemera to engage the viewer further to find little surprises in her pieces.
Her work has been exhibited in galleries throughout Marin County, Hawaii and Mexico as well as private collections. Commissions are available.
